Time To Overcome

In this world of glass, the colours filter the light. I’ve been roaming this world for a while now. Pondering. Thinking.

Time passes by behind the glass. The windows are fogged up on both sides. I can no longer see what happens on the other side. How bright is the light out there? Can my eyes cope with the brightness? But it is time. I have to do this. I have to overcome my fears.

I call. I sing. I tap on the windowpanes. One crack will do. Just one.

A hand on the other side wipes the glass clean. I see myself. I see them. “I love you,” I whisper “I love you,” I sing. The glass breaks.
